The Hawaii Space Grant Consortium, in cooperation with the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH)
and the Onizuka Space Center held the 4th Annual Onizuka Science Day at UHH. This year, over
600 students participated in 19 workshops presented by professors, science teachers, Mauna
Kea Observatories outreach officers, and even NASA Shuttle Astronaut Mark Polansky. Exhibits
from several UHH Departments, Center for the Study of Active Volcanoes, NASA Challenger
Center, Civil Air Patrol, Mauna Kea Observatories and many more, were on display to the public.
