What is the Journey Team?

The local Journey Team is a partnership of the Department of Education, Gemini Observatory, W.M. Keck Observatory, Subaru Telescope, community supporters, and the Carl Sagan Center for Earth and Space Science Education. The team's goal is to integrate earth and space science into the local school curriculum and to encourage the direct participation of scientists in a variety of educational efforts in the community. The Hawaii team, currently centered in Hilo, is one of ten teams in the United States receiving support from the Sagan Center.

The Journey Team does the organizational work to bring together community resources that make the Journey through the Universe programming possible.

Community Supporters

The Journey Team would like to extend a sincere thank you to the following organizations and individuals for their generous donations of funding, space, time and donations. The success of the Journey through the Universe program is largely dependent on our donors, and we appreciate their invaluable contributions.
